Call for Contributions !
We are inviting Pecha Kucha submissions from all attendees of the 2009 MHSLA Educational Conference. This event will be held on Friday, September 25, 10 am – Noon.
This is an opportunity to make a contribution and share your library’s story in 6 minutes and 40 seconds! We want to hear from you! Any topic will work! For example: what type of innovative technology solutions have you employed? What digitization projects have you completed? How about that grant award ?
In other words…what do you do when you are not attending a MHSLA Conference?
The idea behind Pecha Kucha is to keep the presentations concise, the interest level up, and to have many presenters all sharing their library projects with their colleagues. The rules are simple: each presenter must use a PowerPoint slideshow of 20 images, each shown for 20 seconds, as you tell your story in sync with the visuals. Slides should be set to advance automatically. Your time allotment for the presentation is 6 minutes and 40 seconds. That’s it! You’re done! Next, please!
Your presentation will need to be electronically submitted prior to Sept. 14th to Mike Simmons, who will be our rapid fire moderator. simmon11@MSU.EDU

Lastly, as a little sweetener, there will be a fabulous prize for the “Peoples Choice Award” for the most creative Pecha Kucha Session.
